Schedule:  Lessons will be held on the same day and at the same time once each week, and last for either 30 or 60 minutes.  If you cannot make it for your scheduled lesson time and you can give at least 24 hours notice that you will not be attending, a makeup credit will be added to your account.  Makeup credits can be used to reschedule that lesson via the online calendar by way of times marked "Open Spot" and highlighted in yellow.  Makeup credits do not have cash value and have a 90 day expiration, meaning that you must use them within 90 days of your missed lesson.  Makeup lessons are subject to availability and will not be offered if there are no free spots available. Makeup lessons are not guaranteed, and will NOT be offered without at least 24 hours notice. If I have to cancel a lesson for any reason, you will be offered an extra make up lesson at a mutually agreeable time, or have the following month’s tuition adjusted to reflect my absence. 
 
Tuition:     I ask that tuition be paid on a monthly basis. I will send an invoice at the beginning of each month that outlines the dates and times of the expected lessons for that month. Tuition for that month is due upon receipt of this invoice. My rates are $52 per lesson for thirty minute lessons, $104 per lesson for sixty minute lessons. Please bring check or cash to the first lesson of the month. You also have the option to pay electronically by clicking the link that is in your monthly invoice, or logging in to the website.  Credit cards are processed via Stripe.com, THERE IS A $15 FEE FOR REVERSED CHARGE OR RETURNED CHECK.  If your payment is accidentally charged twice, the easiest solution would be to apply the extra payment to the following month's tuition.  
 
Books/Materials:  Books and materials such as reeds, neck straps, mouthpieces, etc. are not included in the tuition price.  These things can be purchased through Metropolitan Music or ordered online.
 
Students:  Consistent practice will be necessary to keep up with the materials and ideas presented at each lesson.  I expect students to practice on a daily basis!  Please bring all necessary books and materials to each lesson. 
 
Parents:     I encourage parents to help their children by creating a positive musical environment and consistent practice times at home. I have found that associating practice time with homework time works well, with a short practice session happening before homework begins. Parents are welcome to sit in on the first two lessons, after this you are welcome to call or email me to discuss your child’s progress.
 
Termination: Notice that you will be discontinuing lessons must be given in writing or in person (by a parent/guardian if student is under 18) two weeks prior to the end of the month you wish to be your last.  No refunds will be given.  I reserve the right to accept or dismiss students from my studio at my discretion.
